Prompt 16: Sidekick

Now the concept for this drawing has a little bit of history dating back before I even thought of participating in Peachtober. It is one of the first ideas I got when I started drawing bees and sunflowers.

At the end of 2022 and the start of 2023, I drew a sunflower looking into the distance and then on a different page I practiced drawing a bee siting on someone's shoulder. Even though they were two sperate drawings at the time, I know I wanted to combine them and have the little bee sit on the sunflower's shoulder.

Then at the start of Peachtober when I saw the prompt, sidekick, I could not get this idea out of my head. I knew I had to redraw it.

I love these two characters. They are the ones that started it all and I hope that I will be able to continue working on their story this year or many years to come.

Story:

Honeybee and Mrs. Sunflower might not always see eye-to-eye, but do not be mistaken, they have a bond stronger than any other!
