Prompt 20: Bulb

Between the prompts ‘Candle’ and 'Bulb’, I must admit that this one is my favourite!

I love these two little fireflies. They look so playful and I like how the flowers actually look like lamps.

I've never really tried drawing a night scene and it was one of the first times I tried drawing light in the darkness. In the end I wasn't able to make the background as dark as i would have wanted to, but I've learned so much by playing around with this idea.

In the future I think I might use some watercolour paint as a base layer, but for now I'm satisfied with this drawing.

Honeybee was invited by her friends for a little evening stroll in the garden.

When you have Fireflies as friends, who needs a torch?
