Prompt 3: Sweet

Now, this drawing took way longer than I anticipated! Originally I played around with the idea of drawing a bee “drinking honey” or a bee with its head stuck in a honeycomb. However, I decided on keeping it “simple” or at least that is what I thought.

I loved experimenting with the colours, blending and trying to get the glowing / shiny look of honey. Which took so much longer than I thought it would.

To stick to the rule of drawing a bee for each prompt, I decided to draw a little bee at the bottom of the illustration with a little bit of honey stuck to one of its’ antennas. Suggesting that the bee stuck its head into one of the honeycomb holes.

Story:

Honeybee: “I don't care what you saw. It wasn't me.”
