Prompt 7: Crater

After the previous prompt, I really wanted to try and draw a little story scene again. However, similar to Cosmos, I didn't want to draw something that was space related. So, I came up with this idea of drawing a footprint as a giant crater.

We often don't realise how big of an impact we as human beings have on the world and I wanted to convey this message through this drawing. I also just loved the idea of taking something mundane as a footprint and turn it into something mystical by changing the perspective of the viewer.

The most challenging thing of this drawing was getting the right angle or 3-D perspective of the footprint. I searched through so many different reference photos before I manage to get the drawing close to what I wanted. In the end, even though it still needs some work, I'm really proud of the drawing and the concept I was able to come up with.

Story:

Honeybee and her friends came across this huge hole in the ground! All of them just stared at it in amazement.

Honeybee: "These humanlings, leave quite a big footprint behind wherever they go!"

Ladybug: "I wonder if they realise how much of an impact they have on our world.
